UP Tacloban will celebrate its 34th Founding Anniversary, tomorrow, July 4, Wednesday, 9 o’clock in the morning at the Multipurpose Building of the said campus. This celebration will go hand in hand with the Launching of the UP Centennial. This year’s celebration goes with the theme “Maribhong ngan mahinungdanun mga pagsaurog han UP Sentenyal” (Celebrating the UP Centennial with relevance and revelry).

Among this year’s honored guests are Congressman Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and UPV Chancellor Glenn D. Aguilar who will also be present to join these festivities and award the certificates of recognition to deserving UP Tacloban constituents. The highlights of this celebration are the Launching Ceremony, comprised of the Installation of the Centennial Logo, Presentation of UPVTC Centennial Projects and Presentation of the UPAA-EV Centennial Project; UPV, MOA Signing with Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Municipal Government of Hilongos, Leyte and Avon Inc.; Awarding of Certificates of Recognition to Loyalty Awardees, Retirees and Benefactors/Sponsors; Recognition of Student Organizations and Cultural Program; Alumni Reunion and Fellowship; and the Student Acquaintance Party.

The said anniversary will kick off with an Ecumenical Service at 7:30 am, followed by the Opening Program at 9 o’clock. At 11 o’clock the Open House and lunch will follow. And in the afternoon, the festive PaBINGO, Food Festival, Parade and Ground Performance will be done. Later in the afternoon, students and alumni will gather around the AS Grounds for the Students’ Cultural Program, Alumni Fellowship and Student Acquaintance Party.
